Welcome to the website of the West Dallas Chamber of Commerce. We are a small chamber serving the West Dallas area of Dallas, Texas. Our membership is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the business and residential community. The focus of our work has been to improve infrastructure, transportation, public safety, and the image of West Dallas. We are advocates for positive change and our efforts have had exciting results in just a few years.

Our service boundaries in Dallas include the Trinity River on our northern and eastern boundaries. The southern boundary is Interstate 30 and we include the industrial area of Pinnacle Park. The western boundary of our area is the city limits of Dallas with Grand Prairie and Irving. West Dallas sits in between Oak Cliff and the Stemmons Corridor region of Dallas.

Traditionally, West Dallas has been one of the poorest areas in the United States; however, the work of our chamber will soon change the area forever. We have been privileged to be partners with the City and County of Dallas along with state and federal officials in making a dramatic transition. Our proactive work is improving the tax base for the entire City of Dallas and making West Dallas a more desirable to visit, live, and work.

We would like to share with you just some of the successes we have been a part of in West Dallas since our inception in 1994:

• New home construction is bringing new residents to live along side a totally new low income housing project. These new homes and new apartments are well in excess of 1000. It is one of the fastest growing areas in Dallas.
• Infrastructure needs are being addressed with new bond money to repair streets and improve flood control.
• Street banner programs along Hampton and Fort Worth Ave. are giving the area a new vibrancy.
• New landscaping project along Singleton Blvd bringing hundreds of new trees and scrubs to the street will enhance the area.
• A new Dallas County Community College facility will soon be under construction.
• The new Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and the Interstate 30 bridge will soon be under construction changing the entire Dallas skyline and bringing new opportunities to West Dallas.
• The new bridges will create a world class vista from West Dallas towards downtown Dallas. It will draw tourists and new business to Dallas. We call that area Signature Point.
• A new DART light rail line is planned to come to West Dallas in the new 2030 DART Plan. This line is just the beginning of a mass transit opportunity to parallel the Interstate 30 corridor in the Metroplex.

These successes and more are making West Dallas one of the most exciting areas of Dallas. The short history of the West Dallas Chamber of Commerce is very impressive by any standard but to us it has just begun.
