Ernesto Lopez, President of the West Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Receives Crime Watch Certificate of Special Recognition

SUBJECT: Award Won by Chamber President

Ernesto Lopez, President of the West Dallas Chamber of Commerce, was recognized with a Crime Watch Certificate of Special Recognition award by the Dallas Police Department on Tuesday at the Informart in Dallas. Terrell Bolton, Dallas Police Chief, presented the Award to Mr. Lopez for "exemplery conduct and excellence in performance of civic responsibilities." Flynn Coon, Crime Prevention Officer from the Northwest Division of the Dallas Police Department, nominated Mr. Lopez for this annual award given to area citizens. Mr. Lopez commented that he would have never won the award if the West Dallas Chamber of Commerce was not active in pursuing a crime watch initiative in the West Dallas area.
