SUBJECT: West Dallas Chamber of Commerce Retreat
The West Dallas Chamber of Commerce held it's first annual Board of
Directors Retreat on January 21, 2003 at Goodwill Industries in Dallas.
The retreat was facilitated by Sharon Mayer, President of the Allen Chamber
of Commerce, and focused on three main areas. These areas were the
Chamber's mission, vision, and values. These elements are the basis
for the program of work the West Dallas Chamber will be formulating to
serve the unique needs of the area. The needs of the community include
addressing environmental, housing, social, and the business community's
growth issues. The results of the retreat will be to form a Major Business
Group committee and to focus on economic development for West Dallas.
